Toucan Roar is a creative company that specialises in providing performing arts to schools across the UK. We equip the younger generation with invaluable life skills through acting, singing and dancing.

We believe in fun, laughter and most of all the importance of a child’s self-worth, confidence and well-being.

We supply industry professionals to teach children performing arts in a safe space where they are free to explore, create and most importantly be themselves.

Adam Isdale, an actor and writer, founded Toucan Roar. It began with him writing and directing a production for year 6 students. Since then, Toucan Roar has expanded to provide various services to multiple schools. We teach children acting, singing, dancing, poetry/spoken word, and script writing. Our lessons can align with subjects in the national curriculum.

We also deliver workshops for your school and teachers. We can provide and assist with: teacher training days, attendance videos, personalised school songs and coaching videos for teachers.

Why the name, Toucan Roar?

At Toucan Roar, everything we do has an intention, meaning, and purpose, including our name.

From the moment we start working, our ethos is driven by a passion to not only let children enjoy the performing arts but to empower them to overcome their own fears and embrace who they truly are. We believe that through creative expression, children can discover their unique talents, unlock their potential, and build confidence that will carry them through all aspects of their lives.

A Toucan represents communication. It's a great symbol for what we teach our students: to speak clearly and confidently. The second meaning is showmanship, which fits perfectly.

A Lion's Roar represents courage and strength qualities we all possess. Our instruction aims to inspire every child to embrace these characteristics. Lions live and survive in prides - working together, demonstrating teamwork, an ability our students develop with us. We strive for each child to take pride in their individual accomplishments as well as the collaborative achievements of their group.

Toucan Roar is here to help children have fun, laugh and allow them to be themselves. We want children to feel important and confident in their own skin. Our work will enable them to connect with their own creativity whilst developing their performance skills.
